Utah Valley U Veteran’s Center Celebrates First Year

In the year since the official ribbon cutting of the Veteran Success Center at Utah Valley University, “a lot of learning has taken place,” according to the center’s director Sheldon Holgreen. That learning has helped nearly 600 veterans each semester since its opening. Although the ribbon cutting was not held until January 2016, the center actually began some of its operation the previous October.

And it’s not just the student veterans who receive assistance. Often when military personnel are deployed, they leave behind a spouse and children. UVU’s center also provides assistance for the family members.
