Year-Round Pell Grants: A Step ForwardMay 23, 2017 | :

We’re in agreement with two prominent Carolina Republican legislators who have announced their support for making Pell grants accessible year-round.
U.S. Rep. Mark Walker of Greensboro and U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina support not only the continuation of the Pell grant program, but also asked that the program be accessible once again year-round, the Journal’s Bertrand M. Gutierrez recently reported.
Year-round access was eliminated in 2010 as part of congressional cost-cutting, but these congressmen are ready to change that back.
