MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Veterans are a “competitive advantage” to Tennessee, Gov. Bill Haslam said Wednesday morning after speaking at the state’s second statewide Veteran Education Academy at MTSU.
“Our veterans aren’t just people we need to support, but they are a competitive advantage to us when we compete in the job market,” Haslam said to the more than 100 representatives from 40 higher education campuses across the Volunteer State.
