DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire is unveiling a plan that will mean free tuition for about 300 students next fall.
The plan, called the Granite Guarantee, means full-time, first-year students from New Hampshire receiving federal Pell grants will be able to attend the university tuition-free.
“They aren’t going to have years of undergrad loans to deal with afterwards, which I know a lot of my friends do – I do,” one student said.
