ST. BONAVENTURE — St. Bonaventure University has a new tool to recruit military veterans to campus — and help them succeed once they enroll.
University officials hosted a grand opening Thursday for the new Student Veterans Center, a 24/7 social and academic lounge with two full-time staff members to assist veteran students with their education and integration into campus life. The space is part of St. Bonaventure’s Military Aligned Students program, an initiative to formalize the recruitment of more veterans and their dependents that was approved by the school’s board of trustees last spring.
