When the Texas state legislature meets early next year, some Lamar University students will be closely watching a bill that would improve and expand services for veterans on college campuses.
Student veterans and staff members at the school’s Office of Veteran Affairs, which is focused on financial aid and benefits, are hoping to develop a full-fledged Veterans Center to serve LU and LIT.
