WATERLOO – A program located at the University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education plans to redouble its efforts to reach out to military veterans in helping them continue or complete higher education.
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded a $450,384 grant to the UNI’s Educational Opportunity Center, located at UNI-CUE, 800 Sycamore St., to increase the number of adults from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete a secondary school diploma or equivalent and enroll in a postsecondary institution.
