LCS students donate supplies for military care packages

As part of Lafayette Christian School’s community work week, the fifth-grade class donated items for care packages to the U.S. Army. The students gave more than 90 cards, over hundreds of foods, multiple office supplies and toiletries to army personnel at the school Wednesday.

Fourth and fifth grade teacher Jennifer Denney said the class chose to donate items for care packages since they are currently learning about the middle east, from ancient history to its modern era. Denney said they wanted to support soldiers who are serving in the middle east.
