Congress Weighs New G.I. Bill Protections

BIPARTISAN PUSH TO ADD GI BILL PROTECTIONS: Congress passed a law last year dubbed the “Forever GI Bill” that expands the popular Post-9/11 GI Bill in several ways. Many of the other expansions roll out Aug. 1, including one that mandates that all post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients fully qualify for the benefit for up to three years.
