Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Vows to Protect Bases, Veterans

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams brought her campaign to Albany Tuesday, talking with a crowd of supporters about protecting the state’s military bases, veterans and the expansion of Medicaid.

“We are pleased to roll out a military investment policy, and we have six pillars — with three key pillars — that I really emphasize,” Abrams said. “One is easing the transition from service to school to career. We must support, invest in and keep our promises to Georgia’s active-duty service members, military families, civilian employees and our veterans.
