The Virginia Community Colleges have developed a new online tool to help military veterans. The Credits2Careers Veterans Portal is the only program of its kind in the country. It will let vets see how their military experience translates to college credits.

Community Colleges Chancellor Glenn Dubois said Credits2Career is intended to be a one stop shop for vets. “They’re going to get advance standing, where they can say, wow, I’ve just entered in all my experiences, my MOS’s, my military certifications, and I’m granted, now, credit up to maybe up to a half year’s worth of work for a post-secondary certification.”
