Florida Will Credit Military Training in Licensing Guards

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam announced today that Florida veterans will now receive credit for relevant military training or education when applying for private investigator and security guard licenses with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

“The men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country deserve all of the support we can provide,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam. “If a veteran received military police or security training, we should give them credit for it when they apply to be a private investigator or security guard.”
