Those, and some less-polite words, are ways people with post-traumatic stress disorder said their condition is viewed by others.

They are subjected to personal questions about their trauma. They can be triggered by something like a professor repeatedly asking a question or the sound of a person’s laugh. They feel judged for their behaviors.
