Service Member for Life Commits to Improving Transition
August 25, 2016 | :by Rio Fernandes
Service members often hear duty to their country isn’t just a commitment but an opportunity to be placed in a position to excel in civilian life. The newly renovated Service Member for Life program on Joint Base Lewis-McChord is committed to improving that transition process of becoming a civilian.
In October, JBLM will be one of six installations around the world testing this new program. As of now, the new program will only focus on Soldiers and their transitions, but it may expand to all members of the Department of Defense depending on the success of the program.
